A series of horrific collisions took place in dense fog

According to the police, there was dense fog on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway on Monday morning. Visibility was extremely low and vehicles were moving very slowly. Meanwhile, a driver driving ahead suddenly got confused and applied sharp brakes. After this, the vehicles coming from behind started colliding with each other and within no time 14 vehicles met with an accident.

Many people injured in the accident, condition of four is critical

All the vehicles involved in this accident have suffered heavy damage. Police said that all the people traveling in the vehicles were injured during the accident, although four of them suffered serious injuries and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. It is a matter of relief that no one died.

Trucks full of potatoes overturned, road turned into vegetable market

Many trucks loaded with potatoes were also involved in the accident. Due to sudden braking, a truck overturned and the potato sacks loaded in it spread on the road. Traffic came to a complete halt due to potatoes being scattered all over the road. Within a short time, there was a two to two and a half kilometer long jam on the expressway.

As soon as information about the accident was received, Dankaur police station reached the spot. The police removed the damaged vehicles from the road and cleaned up the spread potatoes. After about two hours of effort, the traffic could be normalized.

More than 10 accidents in 48 hours, police issued warning

According to the police, in the last 48 hours, more than 10 road accidents have occurred in the state due to fog. More than 36 vehicles have been damaged in these incidents, while more than 9 people have been seriously injured and reached the hospital. In view of the continuously increasing accidents, Uttar Pradesh Police has issued an advisory for the drivers.
