Flyover worth Rs 315 crore will be built in Lucknow, connectivity will be available directly to the airport!

A 2,300 meter long four-lane flyover will be built from La Martiniere College to G-20 Road in Lucknow at a cost of Rs 315 crore. It also includes a 250 meter bridge over the Gomati river. This project, to be completed in two years, will provide relief to the city from traffic jams.

There is relief news for the people troubled by traffic jam in Lucknow. A new four-lane flyover is going to be built in the heart of the city, which will start from La Martiniere College and reach straight to G-20 Road. The total length of this flyover will be 2,300 meters and its cost is said to be around Rs 315 crore. Under the project, a 250 meter long bridge will also be built on the Gomti River, which will be an important part of the Green Corridor.

Part of Green Corridor, direct road will connect to Ekana Stadium and Ayodhya Road

This project of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will be connected to the green corridor network of the city. After this, it will be easier to reach Ekana Stadium, Ayodhya Road and Airport. LDA Vice President Prathamesh Kumar said that this flyover will be built on the right bank of Gomti River and will go till G-20 Road via Army Land. “The tender process has been completed, construction work will be started soon,” he said.

Travel from Hazratganj to Shaheed Path will be easy

The construction of the new flyover will reduce traffic pressure on many major routes of the city. Especially the journey between Hazratganj, 1090 intersection, Vikramaditya Marg and Shaheed Path will become easier. Till now, heavy traffic jams were common on these routes, but after the flyover is ready, this journey will be completed without signals and without interruption.

Will be ready in two years, 250 meter bridge will be built on Gomati river

LDA Vice President said that this project will be completed in about two years. Modern technology and environment friendly materials will be used during construction. The 250 meter long bridge to be built on Gomti River will be the most attractive part of this project, which will not only connect the traffic but will also enhance the beauty of Lucknow.

Flyover will start from La Martiniere College, the route will go over the railway bridge.

Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in-charge AK Singh Sengar said that the flyover will start from near La Martiniere College. It will pass over Pipraghat Railway Bridge and reach G-20 Road. With this, many important parts of the city, 1090 intersection, Kalidas Marg, Vikramaditya Marg, Ekana Stadium and Airport, will be connected through a single corridor.

Lucknow will get a new traffic model

According to LDA officials, there are plans to give the city a new “no-signal route network” under the Green Corridor Project. This project is also a part of the Smart City Mission along with reducing the traffic pressure on the capital’s roads.
