Every person’s hair is different from the other. If we talk directly, some have straight hair, some have slightly wavy hair, some have curly hair, but apart from this, the texture of hair is also different. For this reason, hair care should also be done differently. The same care cannot be done for every hair texture, otherwise you will not get the desired results. If you want healthy hair, then you need to adopt the right hair care product and the right routine accordingly. So let us know how you can understand the real structure of your hair i.e. hair texture.
The texture of your hair largely depends on genetics, that is, we get it from our parents. According to this, your hair is thick, thin or normal in texture. If you also want to know what is the texture of your hair, then you can check it by adopting some simple methods given here.
feel with fingers
You can know the texture of your hair by touching it with your fingers. First of all, take a hair and then place it in the middle of the index finger. Now hold it with the help of thumb and rub it lightly. If it is felt very less then it is fine hair texture i.e. very thin. If you feel a little then it is medium textured hair. Apart from this, if your hair can be felt properly between the thumb and finger then the texture of the hair is coarse i.e. thick.
compare with thread
This is also an easy and good way to know the texture of hair. Take a thread and compare your hair with it. For this also, hang the thread and hair together. There should be proper lighting at that place. If the hair looks very thin through the thread then it is fine texture. If the hair looks even then it is media textured hair. Similarly, if the hair looks a little thicker than the thread, then it is coarse textured hair.
hair porosity test
Like texture, you can also test the porosity of hair in an easy way. Porosity means how much moisture your hair absorbs. For this, take water in a clean glass and then put a broken hair in it, if it floats on top then it means that it absorbs less moisture i.e. both water and oil will take time to be absorbed. This is called low porosity. Similarly, when hair is put in water, if it slowly starts moving downwards then it is medium porosity hair and if the hair sinks quickly in water then it is high porosity and absorbs moisture quickly.
There are four patterns of hair
Just like the texture of hair, there are also patterns of hair, which most people know. A straight hair looks absolutely sleek, as if someone has straightened it with a straightener. Secondly, there are light wavy hair which are low and slightly curled from the sides and look bouncy. The third type is curly hair. Its fourth type is tight curl or coily hair. Very small curls are made in it.
