Finally! Apple To Launch Its FIRST Foldable iPhone In 2026?

The wait for Apple’s first-ever foldable smartphone has been really long. While its rivals Samsung and Google have already stepped into the foldable smartphone market a long way back and are even leading it, Apple has always been part of rumours about bringing its foldable phone.

Not only that, several other smartphone makers such as OnePlus, Tecno, Oppo, and many more have experimented with their own foldable tech. Remember Honour’s recently launched tri-fold smartphone in the global markets?

Finally, the latest report by display analyst Ross Young suggests that the launch of the first foldable iPhone was positive. Ross Young hints that Apple may enter the foldable market in the second half of 2026. This year could be a record year for the foldable market due to Apple’s dominant position in the flagship models. Not only that, display analysts suggest that the foldable market may witness more than 30 per cent growth in 2026 and 20 per cent in 2027 and 2028.

FIRST Foldable iPhone: What To Expect

The rumours of the first foldable iPhone and its making have been part of the leaks and rumours for several years. Finally, it seems like Apple is planning to make rumours come true by the second half of 2026. As per a MacRumors report, the first foldable iPhone is tipped to have a well-known “clamshell” design and it is expected to be between 7.9-inch and 8.3-inch in size. Based on this, it can be assumed it will be more like Samsung’s “Flip” phone instead of the “Fold.”

However, that’s all we know so far about Apple’s expected foldable iPhone. As the rumoured launch is still way too far, the details and specs are expected to unfold with time.

iPhone SE 4 Coming!

Meanwhile, the 2025 is set to be exciting for Apple fans as the tech giant is rumoured to launch the iPhone SE 4, the affordable option. If these leaks are to be believed, then the iPhone SE 4 will be launched in March 2025. It is expected to have a complete design makeover with a bigger display, slimmer bezels, Face ID instead of Touch ID, Apple Intelligence, upgraded cameras, and a lot more.
