Officials have confirmed that Malayalam film maker Sanal Kumar Shashidharan was detained at Mumbai Airport on Sunday (September 7) after a lookout notice issued by Kerala police in connection with the complaint of harassment lodged by a female actress. Kochi City Police is in touch with Mumbai Airport officials in this case. Sanal shared his objection on Facebook this morning and said that he was not aware of the allegations against him.
He wrote, “I have been detained under the lookout notice issued by the Kochi City Police. I am confident that the police and the Communist Party of Kerala will treat me according to the law. I am not aware of the case registered against me.”
