The ongoing tension in the relations between India and Pakistan is continuously affecting sports also. Its effect is visible in hockey also after the conflicts ranging from not shaking hands on the cricket field to not giving the trophy. Pakistan has withdrawn its name from the FIH Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 to be held in India this year. The Pakistani team will no longer tour India for this tournament to be held in November-December 2025. This tournament will run from 28 November to 10 December and the entire World Cup will be organized in Chennai and Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
