The FIFA World Cup quarterfinal tickets have seen a sharp fall. According to the data from TickPick, the resale price plunged to $1200 ahead of Friday’s game between Spain and Belgium, down from $2,950 earlier.

The sharp fall came after USA and Portugal were knocked out of the tournament. USA lost 1-4 to Belgium while Portugal suffered a 1-0 defeat to Spain, which also ended Cristiano Ronaldo’s World Cup campaign. Fans were hoping to see the blockbuster quarterfinal between USA and Portugal, but that was not the case.

Not just the USA, but other hosts, Canada and Mexico, have been knocked out of the tournament, reducing the buzz among the local fans. Canada lost 2-0 to Morocco, while England knocked out Mexico.

Data from SeatPick showed that average resale prices for quarterfinal tickets have fallen by more than 30% in the last 24 hours and over 50% in the past three days. At the same time, the number of tickets available on the secondary market has increased from around 28,000 at the start of the tournament to more than 49,000.
