The great festival of Chhath is celebrated 6 days after Diwali. This time Chhath Puja was celebrated at many places in the country on 27 October. This is the biggest and sacred festival of India, which is celebrated with great devotion in places like Bihar, Jharkhand and North India. Sun God and Chhathi Maiya are worshiped on this festival. Devotees observe Nirjala fast for 36 hours, which is quite difficult. After remaining hungry and thirsty for 36 hours, the fast is broken by offering Arghya to the rising sun on the day of Kartik Shukla.
Experts believe that fasting is also a great way to detox the body. But it is common to feel weakness in the body after fasting for 36 hours. Expert told what to eat?
Jaipur’s Ayurvedic expert Kiran Gupta has told some things which can be eaten after fasting to provide energy to the body. She says that by fasting for 36 hours the body gets detoxed. But some people may feel weakness. In such a situation, after breaking the fast, take boiled water of moong dal and add honey in it and drink it. Moong dal is an excellent source of protein. Many elements like fiber, iron and potassium are found in it. Which helps in giving instant energy to the body.
During Chhath, Arghya is offered to the Sun God while standing in water. In such circumstances, some people also suffer from cold and cough. For which honey is beneficial. Antioxidants are found in honey. Apart from this, minerals, vitamins B-complex and C are also available. Honey strengthens the immune system. It also provides relief from cough and sore throat.

Eat boiled moong. This is light food for the body which gets digested quickly and also keeps the stomach full for a long time. Apart from this, add ghee to moong dal khichdi and eat it. If you want, you can also make moong dal halwa and eat it. If you have cold then eat millet khichdi mixed with ghee. Many elements like protein, fiber and iron are found in millet. Besides, its nature is also hot, which helps in keeping the body warm. Consume seasonal vegetables, like spinach, fenugreek, bathua etc. Keep in mind that after fasting, eat food with ghee and avoid oil. Drink as much liquid as possible.
