FASTag annual pass price hiked from April 1; check new rates

New Delhi: The Union government is all set to increase the price of annual FASTag by Rs 75 starting April 1. The annual prepaid plan — launched last year at Rs 3,000 — will now cost Rs 3,075.

The yearly pass covers 1 year of travel or 200 toll crossings — whichever comes first — across the nation. According to available data, there are over 56 lakh subscribers of the annual pass.

What NHAI said about the annual pass

NHAI in a post on X wrote: “The revised FASTag Annual Pass fee comes into effect from 01 April 2026. Today is your last chance to get it at the current price of Rs 3,000 before it is updated to Rs 3,075 for FY 2026–27. Enjoy seamless, hassle-free travel across National Highways and Expressways with a one-time payment valid for one year or 200 trips.”

The announcement has been made by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) and is in accordance with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

All about the annual pass

The annual pass was introduced in August, 2025 to eliminate the need of frequent FASTag top-ups. It was especially done keeping in mind people who travel on regular basis. All non-commercial vehicles are included under the initiative.
