At Krishi Chaupal in Akkhapur, 450 farmers shared the changes in their lives due to Yogi government’s electricity reforms, better law and order and Rs 30 increase in sugarcane price. The farmers expressed gratitude to the government for timely payment, security and prosperity.
Hapur. About 450 farmers enthusiastically participated in the ‘Krishi Chaupal’ organized on Saturday in Akkhapur village. This Chaupal was also organized by the farmers, and they also took the entire responsibility of the discussion. Sitting in the fields, the farmers told that the policies and decisions of the Yogi government have brought a big change in their lives.
Farmers said that Annadata is becoming prosperous due to the better security system of the state and continuous electricity supply. Crop theft has stopped, the dominance of middlemen has ended and now every farmer is getting the full price of his hard work. Farmers expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the recent historic increase of Rs 30 in sugarcane price.
Farmers become stronger due to electricity improvements and timely payment
Rajendra Singh and Mahipal Singh shared their experience-story in Krishi Chaupal. He said sugar mills are making payments on time and the Rs 30 per quintal sugarcane price increase is a big relief for farmers. In the last eight and a half years, there has been equal electricity supply in the entire state without any discrimination. This improved irrigation management of fields, increased crop productivity and brought about a permanent change in the lives of farmers.
Prosperity came due to strengthening of law and order
Farmers Danbir Singh and Joginder Singh said that since 2017, the rule of law has been established in Uttar Pradesh. By tightening the reins on criminals, security increased in villages and towns and every class became prosperous. he said
Only when the farmer does farming safely, respectfully and fearlessly, the state becomes prosperous. This change is the result of the policies of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Poor farmer also became capable, sugarcane price increase became support
Farmer Manbir Pradhan said that Yogi government has brought back smiles in the lives of poor farmers. Sugarcane price increase has increased the income of farmers. He said that if the food provider remains prosperous then every household in the state will be happy. Farmers of Hapur expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister.
Large participation of farmers in Krishi Chaupal
Many farmers including Ramesh Singh, Amarpal Singh, Sansarpal Singh, Sudesh Singh, Bhujbir Singh, Lokendra Singh, Jaipal Singh were present in the program. Everyone shared their problems, suggestions and experiences, which will be directly conveyed to the government.
Yogi government increased sugarcane price by record Rs 30 per quintal
The government gave big relief by increasing the price of sugarcane for the crushing season 2025-26-
- Early variety: increased from ₹370 to ₹400 per quintal
- Common variety: increased from ₹360 to ₹390 per quintal
With this increase, sugarcane farmers of the state will get additional benefit of about ₹ 3000 crore. This is the fourth major announcement of sugarcane price increase during the tenure of Yogi government.
Chaupals will be set up in Shamli and Muzaffarnagar in the coming days.
After Baghpat and Hapur, now ‘Krishi Chaupal’ will be organized in Shamli on 7th and 8th December.
- 7 December: Gehrni village
- 8 December: Buchhakhedi village
After this, Chaupal will be organized in Yahiyapur and Dahod villages of Muzaffarnagar on 10-11 December. Farmers’ suggestions will be sent directly to the government and included in policy reforms.
