Farhan Akhtar told that he went through a stressful period due to the delay in the film ‘Jee Le Zara’. Because of this his insecurities increased and he had to take therapy. He also started doubting his skills when he returned to direction after 12 years.
Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar had announced the film ‘Jee Le Zara’ with Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra in the year 2021. However, due to date issues the film has not gone on floors yet. Now talking about this in an interview, Farhana told how stressful this period was for her due to the continuous delay in the film, due to which her insecurities increased.
Why did Farhan Akhtar need a therapist?
Farhan Akhtar said, ‘My film ‘Toofan’ released in 2021 and right after that, I was going to direct a film named Jee Le Zara. It kept getting postponed and over those two years, I kept turning down all the other opportunities that came my way. I did this because when you have to direct a film, you can only focus on that. Whenever a role comes, I tell them that no, I am going to direct soon.

Farhan told how as the production dates kept changing, his insecurities started taking over. He said, ‘It was a very stressful period because I felt like I was wasting time and I didn’t even realize that two and a half years had passed. There were some personal insecurities also. I started feeling that maybe people would think that I would not be able to direct. It had been 12 years since I directed a film and perhaps people started doubting my skills. When you sit down with a therapist and tell them these things, you start to realize where all these things are coming from. Because I didn’t want to say, ‘Let me move on from this film.’

Let us tell you that ‘Jee Le Zara’ is a road-trip film, which is based on women’s friendship. When it was announced, this film created a lot of buzz. However, reports soon emerged that matching the schedules of all three cast members had become a challenge. This film marked Farhan’s return to direction after the 2011 film ‘Don 2’. Farhan Akhtar will be seen for the last time in the film ‘120 Bahadur’. Farhan is playing the role of Major Shaitan Singh in this historical war drama, along with him Raashi Khanna, Vivaan Bhatena and Ankit Siwach are also in lead roles.
