Falgun Month Pradosh Vrat 2026: Pradosh fast dedicated to Mahadev is observed every month on the Trayodashi date of Krishna and Shukla Paksha. The time of Pradosh Kaal has great importance in Pradosh Vrat. At this time Mahadev and Mother Parvati are worshipped. On the day Pradosh Vrat occurs, Pradosh Vrat is observed in the name of the war that occurs on that day. By observing Pradosh fast and worshiping Mahadev and Mata Parvati as per rituals, life remains happy.

Pradosh Vrat 2026 date and auspicious time
Trayodashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Phalgun month will start on Saturday 28th February at 08:43 PM. At the same time, this date will end on Sunday, March 1 at 07:09 pm. Shiva is worshiped during Pradosh period. For this, the last Pradosh fast of Phalgun month will be celebrated on Sunday 01 March. Since this Pradosh fast is falling on Sunday, it will be called Ravi Pradosh fast.
pradosh vrat puja method
On the day of Pradosh fast, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Wear clean clothes after taking bath. Meditate on Lord Shiva and take a resolution to fast. Clean the place of worship. Worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Offer water, bel leaves, flowers, fruits etc. to Bholenath. If possible, go to the temple and offer water and Belpatra on Shivalinga. In the evening, worship Bholenath again in the prescribed manner. Perform Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva during Pradosh period. Offer kheer, potato pudding, curd and ghee to Lord Shiva. Perform Aarti after reading the story of Pradosh Vrat. Pradosh fast is kept waterless or fruitless. Do not eat anything for the whole day on Pradosh fast. Break your fast after evening puja or the next day.
