Failed housebreak attempt results in intruder trapped in exhaust fan hole – WATCH

New Delhi: In a cinematic incident, a family from Kota, Rajasthan, went to a temple, but when they returned to their home on Sunday night, the family witnessed a sight that they weren’t prepared for, as a man was stuck in a hole meant for an exhaust fan in their house.

Subash Kumar Rawat and his family immediately screamed after seeing the man. Afterwards, when Subash and his wife regained their composure, both asked the thief what he was doing there.

The man was trapped 10 feet above, where his head and arms were inside the house, and his legs were dangling outside. Later, the man told them he was a thief.

The Rawat family informed the police, and after reaching the site, police personnel were trying to free him from the hole. Two personnel were inside, and one was outside as the man was being pulled into the house, and in the process, he was wincing and crying out loud in pain.

Police confirmed the accused had entered the premises with the intention of committing theft. After freeing him up, the officials arrested the thief, and he is being interrogated. The accused also confirmed that his partners fled from the scene, but he got stuck in the house.

The car that thieves used to reach the house has also been seized. The vehicle also had a police sticker, and an investigation is underway to trace the accomplice who escaped and to check if the accused is linked to other theft cases in the area.
