One such video is being viral on social media, in which Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan is confessing that during Operation Sindoor, India did not properly assess Pakistan’s military capacity, which he suffered losses.
What is being claimed in viral video?
The viral video has been shared with a X handle named ‘The Whistle Blower’. In this, the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) has shown Anil Chauhan, saying, we staged a strike between 1 to one and a half in the night. You know before that there was an operation in Balakot, in which we kept saying that we have killed, are successful, but there is no evidence or such satellite image or photograph. But now why did we do what we were doing at half past one in the night? We were understanding that if the Pakitastani Air Force was sleeping, no one will know what we have attacked in Pakistan. But they all came to know. Our 4 Rafale has fallen, but we have learned a lot. Now we will also be careful at night that Pakistan is sitting on us all the time. The biggest thing that is learning.

PIB’s fact check team has also shared footage of original video along with fake videos, after listening to which it is clear that real video has been manipulated through AI somehow. The PIB has clearly stated that this claim is completely fake. CDS General Anil Chauhan has not made any such statement.
