New Delhi: You might have also seen that viral approval letter, in which it is being claimed to get an instant loan of Rs 7 lakh by paying just Rs 860. This letter is being shared widely on many social media platforms including X (earlier Twitter) in recent times. It is being said in social media posts that this loan is being given under PM Mudra Yojana. Let us find out the truth of this loan claim.

An approval letter in the name of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Scheme is circulating on social media. It is written in the letter that a loan of Rs 7 lakh has been approved under this scheme. To get the loan amount, you have been asked to pay Rs 860 as agreement charge. It is also mentioned in the letter how much interest will be charged on the loan and how much installment will have to be paid every month.

But, the Fact Check team of Press Information Bureau (PIB) has said that this approval letter giving loan of Rs 7 lakh in the name of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Scheme is completely fake. PIB has also made it clear in its tweet that loans are not given directly to small businessmen or people under the Mudra Scheme. PIB has also shared a link containing complete information about the Mudra scheme on its official X handle.
