This report is shocking to everyone, also scared and we are also going to warn you. It is being claimed by the doctors that the way the vision capacity in children is decreasing in the coming days, it seems that in future, there may be trouble in seeing a large population of the country. Dr. Radhika Tandon, head of RP Center of AIIMS, Delhi, claimed that the number of myopic children is increasing rapidly.

Jeevan Singh Titayal, former Chief Dr. Jeevan Singh Titayal, RP Center of AIIMS, claimed in a special conversation with TV 9 Bharatvarsha that according to WHO data, the way children are decreasing in the eyes of children by 2050, it is being said that in the coming years, people will be difficult to meet for the drivers of Army, Airforce and Bullet Train.

What do data say

Dr. Jeevan Singh Titayal said that till 2010, the condition of children in rural areas was very good in terms of health. Despite this, if we talk about the year 2017, then it has seen a rapid decline. He said that now the situation has happened in which there is not much difference in the health of the eyes of urban and rural children.

What is the reason for this

In recent years it has been found that vision capacity in children is decreasing. There are many reasons for this including increasing screen time, wrong diet, genetic diseases (such as retinitis pigmentosa), cerebral or cortical visual importance (CVI), and close vision dosha (myopia). Some children are finding nutritional lack of nutrition. This can also affect the lack of nutrients required for the health of the eye.

Many diseases are also suffering

Doctor Titayal said that if we talk about diseases related to the eyes, then some of the retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa, can cause less vision in children. Along with this, this situation arises when the brain has trouble in processing visual information, even if the eyes are healthy, children are falling prey to it.

What is the vision standard for the Indian Army

To join the Indian Army, candidates should target 6/6 (20/20) without any improvement. The near vision defect ie Myopia should not be more than 3.5 diopters (d). Whereas distant vision defects (hyperopia) and visualism should not exceed 3.5 diopters (d).

If the power of your glasses is more than the prescribed standards, it can prevent admission in the army. However, after joining the service you can wear appropriate glasses. Before being admitted, it is very important to get your vision checked so that you can ensure whether you meet the prescribed standards or not.
