Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that India is ready to play a decisive role in shaping the global economy. Its contribution will reach 20% in the coming years. He was speaking at the ET World Leaders Forum 2025 in New Delhi. Highlighting the foundation of India’s development saga, the Prime Minister credited the country’s comprehensive economic stability in the last decade. He said, “The comprehensive economic stability of the last ten years is behind today’s growth and flexibility.”

PM Modi underlined that despite the shaking of Kovid-19 epidemic, India has managed to maintain strong basic principles. PM Narendra Modi said, “I want to tell you about another success in India. India is now going to export electric vehicles to 100 countries of the world. A big program related to this is also taking place on 26 August after 2 days”

He said, “Our fiscal deficit is expected to be reduced to 4.4%, that too after the shaking of Kovid,” he said that there has been a significant improvement in the economy.

Completed more than 60 space missions in 11 years

He said that India has completed more than 60 space missions in the last 11 years, this year has gained space docking capacity and is preparing for the Gaganyaan Mission, which will send Indian astronauts into space. The Prime Minister indicated a strong banking system, low inflation, low interest rates and current account deficit in control as a sign of flexibility and trust in India’s economic progress.

He said that India, moving forward with the mantra of reform, performance and change, is in a position to get the world out of slow growth today. We are not among those who sit on the shore and throw pebbles in calm water and enjoy. We are those who turn the sharp flowing stream. India is also moving forward with the power to divert time.

PM Modi said that today is the demand of the industry and private sector to come forward, especially in areas such as clean energy, battery storage, advanced materials, quantum technology and biotechnology, and expand your work in the field of research. Inspired by the mantra of improvement, performance and change, today India is in a position to help the world get out of slow growth.

India remained self -sufficient, India remained new record in exports

He said that you are familiar with ‘one nation, one membership’. It has made access to world class research journals easier for its students. We have created a National Research Foundation with a budget of Rs 50 thousand crore. The Research Development Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore has also been approved. You all know that research is also an important basis of the progress of the country. We can work with imported research… but our resolve cannot be fulfilled. Therefore, we need readiness in the field of research, we need that kind of mindset.

PM Modi said that we have made constant efforts to encourage research. Earlier policies were focused on imports, which were often inspired by personal interests, but today, India is setting new records in exporting self -sufficient.

He said that only last year, we exported agricultural products worth 4 lakh crores. Last year, about 800 crore vaccine doses were produced globally and notable, 400 million doses were manufactured in India only. India is now ready to export electric vehicles to 100 countries around the world. The day later, on 26 August, a big program related to it is also being held.

Improvement is our commitment for us

PM Modi said that in addition, this year’s budget has allocated an enterprise capital fund of ₹ 1,000 crore to support space startups. In 2014, there was only one space startup in India, today, this number has increased to more than 300. The day is not far when India will have its own space station in class. This year, India gained the ability to do the space doking – which is a major achievement for our future space operations.

He said that now, the country is preparing to send its astronauts into space through Gaganyaan Mission, where Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s expertise will play an important role. To strengthen the intervention area, it was necessary to free it from restrictions.

PM Modi said that for the first time, clear rules were made for personal participation. Improvement is for us… neither compulsion, nor inspired by crisis… This is our commitment, we have firm belief! Today is also National Space Day, and I wish all of you wishes for this. Before 2014, the space mission was limited, and their scope was also limited. In the 21st century, when every big country is exploring the possibilities of space, how could India be left behind? Therefore, we implemented improvement in space sector and also opened it to the private sector.
