New Delhi. There was an explosion late night in Naugam police station of Jammu and Kashmir which shook the entire area. The blast was no ordinary one—it was a set of explosives that had been seized from Faridabad with terror connections. While the sampling was going on, suddenly there was a huge explosion. The sound was so loud that houses several kilometers away shook, window panes started opening and closing and the entire police station was filled with flames. The video showed that many vehicles were burnt to ashes on the spot. Seven people, including a police officer, FSL team member and a magistrate, were killed in the blast, while 29 people were injured.
Is Naugam blast connected to ‘Delhi Red Fort car blast’?
This incident has deepened the questions because just a few days ago the terrorist explosion in a car near the Red Fort in Delhi has shaken the country. That car was filled with more than 90 kg of explosives and its driver was Dr. Umar Un Nabi, who was said to be associated with the terrorist module of Jaish-e-Mohammed. Investigation also revealed that this entire module was active in Faridabad and Jammu and Kashmir. That is why security forces and investigating agencies have shown strict vigilance regarding the explosives detonated in Naugam police station.

Why did Al Falah University come under investigation?
Was it a ‘white collar’ terrorist network? The name of Al Falah University located in Faridabad also comes up in the investigation. According to reports, many people associated with this module-

- Dr. Shaheen
- Dr. Adeel Rather
Found to be associated with this university. According to sources, these people used to make plans sitting in building number 17, room number 13 of the university. This revelation forces us to wonder whether this was an organized, multi-state, ‘white collar’ terrorist network?
Were there mistakes in the sampling process or were the explosives already unstable?
The reason for the blast is not clear yet. Investigating agencies are working on two major possibilities-
- Were the explosives already highly sensitive or unstable?
- Were there any technical errors in the sampling process?
It is also being seen whether there is any hidden angle of any terrorist strategy in this.

The scope of the investigation increased further after the arrest of some members of the module in Uttar Pradesh. Teams are continuously conducting raids in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and UP. The central government has said that “criminals will be punished under any circumstances.” The house of mastermind Dr. Umar Un Nabi in Pulwama was bombed by the administration.
