Ghalib’s mansion

You can go to Ghalib’s mansion located in Ballimaran in Chandni Chowk area. This Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib spent 10 years of his life here. It has been declared a heritage site. Mughal architecture such as Lakhauri bricks and lime metal has been used in the mansion. Apart from this, parts of the mansion have been converted into a museum, where information related to Ghalib’s life and works will be found.

If you like to know and literature about historical places, then you must go here. The mansion closes on Monday and government holidays. Apart from this, it is open from 11 am to 6 pm. You do not have to buy any ticket here. From Chandni Chowk metro station, you can reach this mansion or on foot.

Feroz Shah Kotla Fort

It is a historical fort located on the banks of river Yamuna in Delhi. It is said that this fort was built by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 1354. At that time it was built as a part of Firozabad city. This fort consists of Jami Mosque, Ashoka Pillar and Baoli. This place is also known as Kotla. There is a Feroz Shah Kotla Maidan near the fort, whose name has now been changed to Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Mutini memorial

Mutini Memorial is also known as Ajitgarh. It is a monument to be built in memory of the soldiers who were martyred in the Indian rebellion of 1857. It is near Kashmiri Gate in Delhi. Red sand is a tower made of stone. You can also explore this place.

Vasudev Ghat

Yamuna Ghat near Kashmiri Gate is also known as Vasudev Ghat. It is located in New Delhi, about 5 km from Chandni Chowk. It is built on the banks of river Yamuna near the Kashmiri Gate bus stand. If you are not able to go to Varanasi and Haridwar to see Ganga Aarti, then you can go to Vasudev Ghat. To reach here, you can take auto or e-rickshaws from Kashmiri Gate metro station to ghat. It is about 2 km from the metro. Therefore, if you want from here, you can also go on foot.
