The winner of the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will qualify for the final. Sri Lanka has been knocked out of the tournament with today’s result after losing both their games in the Super Four stage of the tournament to India and Pakistan.
The last match of the second round between India and Sri Lanka on Friday (September 26) in Dubai will be a dead rubber. The match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will take place on Thursday (September 25) and will be a winner-takes-all clash. The virtual semi-final ensures that the NRR of no team will matter, and points will decide the finalist, as there will not be a three-way tie.
India and Pakistan have never played in the final in history, while India-Bangladesh played the summit clash in 2016 and 2018.
