Exit polls out: What pollsters predict on Assembly election results in Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry

New Delhi: With the end of the second phase of polling in West Bengal, the focus shifted to the exit polls in the state as well as for Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Assembly polls. While exit polls are not the final numbers and only predictions by different pollsters, the Election Commission will announce the results on May 4.

West Bengal

In West Bengal, People’s Pulse has predicted the return of the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC Government with 117-187 seats. As per it, the BJP may get between 95 and 110 seats in the 294-member Assembly. However, every PMARQ has predicted 118-138 seats for TMC and 150-175 seats for BJP in the state. Similarly, Chanakya predicted more tough fight with 130-140 seats to TMC and 150-160 seats to the BJP.

Kerala

As per Axis My India, the Congress-led UDF may win 78 to 90 seats in Kerala, while the LDF may get 49 to 62 seats out of the total of 140 seats in the Assembly. It has also predicted 0-3 seats for NDA. People’s Pulse predicted 70-75 seats, while as per it, LDF may get 60-65 seats in the state Assembly. Among other pollsters, People’s Insight predicted 66-76 seats for UDF and 58-68 seats for LDF.

Assam

Similarly, in Assam, pollsters predicted the return of the BJP Government in the state. While Axis-My India predicted 88-100 seats in the 126-member House, it predicted 24-36 seats for Congress. On the other hand, PMARQ predicted 82 to 94 seats for BJP, as per it, Congress may get 30 to 40 seats in the Assembly. Matrize too said that the BJP may get 85 to 95 seats while Congress is likely to get 25 to 32 seats.

Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

Tamil Nadu may too witness return of the DMK+ Government in the 234-member Assembly, while PMARQ and People’s Pulse predicted 125-145 seats for the ruling party. As per PMARQ AIADMK predicted 65 to 85 seats for AIADMK, while People’s Pulse predicted 65-80 seats for the main Opposition party in the state. As per Axis My India, DMK + may win 92 to 100 seat, AIADMK+ 22 to 32 seats, while TVK may get 98 to 120 seats. In Puducherry, Axis My India has predicted 16 to 20 seats for NRC+ in the 30 member Assembly, while Congress may get 6 to 8 seats in the state Assembly. Others may get 3 to 7 seats.
