New Delhi: In an exclusive conversation with News9, Tanushree Dutta spoke on why she is not in the mood to join Big Boss anytime soon. She also talked about the reasons for the same.
Dutta said, “I don’t wish to associate myself with Bigg Boss. I don’t understand why they drag my name in media with it every year. They make multiple people and agencies call me, they try to manipulate me into going for meetings for other projects only to get there and shockingly discover it’s for Bigg Boss. Every year when the season starts they religiously start stalking me like obsessed psycho devotees and I have to literally block them all to get rid of them and get them off my back. I’m just not in that space and they need to stop making it an ego and control issue. It is not my personality to be a part of such an invasive and toxic reality show where my privacy is up for public consumption. Also I’m not the kind of girl who is okay living with men & women in same hall, eat horrible food and share bathroom with men, all for TRP. If someone does not get this basic point then they are simply evil.
People need to understand that BB is not an alternative for Industry work. I will do proper work like music videos, brand endorsements, guest appearances in films & tv and whatever else comes through, that doesn’t demand too much of my time. If none of it happens yet I’m cool too, I still won’t do BB. Il get married and raise a bunch of kids on a farm or become a holistic coach and spread the good word of God or I will just do nothing. Who decided that we have to do something to value ourselves. I love doing nothing actually….nothing is the best version of everything.
I prefer short form content so I’m mostly focused on trying to build a digital presence online these days. I do celebrity appearances at events too from time to time. Things are in progress slow and steady. I’m not in a rush, I’m taking it easy and building myself internally before I display myself. I’m cool, I’m in a good head space and my heart is at peace with my overall work situation. Life is not perfect and there are ups and downs but it’s progressing well and loads of good things on the way for me personally and professionally. I’m cool!!
So if people really wish to see me more on screen they got to offer me something I actually wish to do and something I will actually enjoy doing. I don’t live my life for others, or to prove any point. Let people think what they may about me, I will do what brings my heart peace, joy and wholeness. I choose peace, growth and my own mental health & emotional stability over anything in the world.”
