Kriti Sanon is all set to step into the world of pure horror with her next film. Known for taking on diverse roles across genres, the actress is now preparing to explore a new space with an out-and-out horror project backed by Maddock Films.
According to our sources, the large-scale film will be directed by Amit Sharma and will be different from Maddock’s popular horror-comedy universe. Pre-production and other preparations for the project are already underway.
A source reveals that Kriti has locked the untitled horror film as her next project. “While she has stated in interviews that she isn’t fond of watching horror movies, she expressed a strong desire to explore the genre to challenge herself as an actor, and this film came along at the right time,” the source shared.
Maddock Films has established a strong presence in the horror-comedy space with films such as Munjya and Roohi. However, this project is expected to take a different route, focusing entirely on horror rather than blending it with comedy.
The film will reportedly feature Kriti in a different avatar, giving her an opportunity to experiment with a new kind of role. With a strong female protagonist at the centre of its dark narrative, the project is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the actress’s filmography.
