Excluded from India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad, Mohammed Siraj named as ICC Player of the Month

The Indian national team is currently engaged in the Asia Cup 2025 tournament. Amid some of the notable exclusions, Mohammed Siraj was one noticeable player who did not get named in the main 15-member squad for the event.

However, Siraj has been making headlines by his own as well.

The spectacular match-winning effort by Mohammed Siraj on the final day of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England was the main factor that made the base for India’s 6-run victory at The Oval. Siraj took three wickets on the final day of the fifth match- drawing the series 2-2.

‘It is a special honour to be named ICC Player of the Month. The Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy was a memorable series, and it was one of the most intense contests I have been part of. I am proud that I could contribute with some important spells, especially in the decisive moments. Bowling against a top batting line-up in their home conditions was challenging, but it also brought out the best in me,’ said Siraj.
