Battery
The Tata Punch EV comes in two versions – Standard Range (SR) and Long Range (LR). The SR has a 25 kWh battery and produces 80.46 bhp, while the LR comes with a 35 kWh battery with 120.69 bhp. The LR version gives you more power and fast acceleration that reaches 0-100 km/h in 9.5 seconds as compared to 13.5 seconds for the SR.
Range
When it comes to range, the SR can go up to 315 km, while the LR can extend to 421 km on a single charge. Both variants support DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 56 minutes. If you are charging at home using a normal plug point, it can take around 9 to 13 hours or overnight to charge fully.
Interior
From the inside, the Punch EV is premium for its size. Higher variants are equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital driver display. You also get ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery and even paddle shifters to control regenerative braking which is a feature usually found in more expensive electric vehicles.
Safety
On the safety front, the Punch EV shines with a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating for both adults and children. It also includes six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP as standard, while top variants have advanced technology like a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, hill hold and descent control.
