HRX Films and Hrithik Roshan team up for Storm
Speaking about collaborating with Hrithik Roshan, Kunal shared insights into their creative process: “So frankly Karan, I’ll speak the truth, it is very difficult to get an answer to that question. He approaches the stories he wants to produce with the same passion that he chooses them for his acting. If I really like the story, and I connect with him, and he connects with it as well, then it’s all good; we go ahead. But if he doesn’t connect with it, I have to respect that decision.”
Kunal explained that persistence often wins the day: “I take the story back with me for a few days, maybe a few weeks, maybe a few months. If it’s still haunting me, I present it to him in a very different way, and then we sit on it, discuss the merits, demerits, what work is required—and sometimes he says yes.”
The producer-actor synergy seems to mirror Hrithik’s personal approach to filmmaking. Kunal added, “Many a time, he’s done a film after months of thought, narrating it again. Sometimes he goes with the passion he sees in the person presenting it.”
Introducing the title, Kunal said with pride, “Every new role begins with a storm. And that’s where HRX Films also begins. I very proudly present to you our first venture with Prime Video, Storm.”
