Even if a resident of Uttar Pradesh does not have an Ayushman card, he can get cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. This has become possible because of the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana launched in the state, which is a state-level health insurance scheme.

Surgery facilities for treatment of more than 2,500 diseases.
Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana is a state level health insurance scheme, which provides cashless treatment facility. People who have registered under this scheme are covered for surgeries for more than 2,500 diseases. Along with this, more than 1,500 health packages are also covered under the Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Under this scheme, medical facilities like heart disease, bypass surgery, kidney transplant, dialysis and neurosurgery etc. are provided. Under this scheme, the treatment of patients is completely cashless. Patients do not need to use paper documents. Treatment is cashless. Card verification, access to helpline support, everything is done online.
Eligibility for Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana
It is mandatory for the person applying for this scheme to be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Also, the applicant must be poor, working as a laborer in the unorganized sector, a registered labourer, a BPL card holder or belong to a class which has been identified as a weaker section by the state government (but not included in the SECC 2011 data).
Cashless treatment reached poor people
The Uttar Pradesh government had launched this scheme, under which treatment facilities are available in government hospitals as well as in listed private hospitals. Due to this state level cashless treatment scheme, even the poor people of the state have been able to get treatment for serious diseases. Application for this scheme can be made by visiting ayushmanup.in. It is mandatory for the applicant to have Aadhar card, mobile number, ration card, residence certificate, income certificate and birth certificate. Application can also be made offline. For this, one has to go to the nearest public convenience center and fill the application form.
