The state government has approved the Lucknow-Mohan-Bilhaur-Etawah highway project. Under this project, a new forelane road will now be built between Lucknow to Etawah, which will not only ease the journey, but will also give new speed to regional development.
Lucknow-Etawah Fourlane Highway approves, what is special in this project?
The current roads from Lucknow to Etawah often struggle with traffic and jam. Currently, the Lucknow-Agra Expressway is a main option, but now an alternative and straight route is going to be available. People will get relief from congestion and travel time will also decrease from the new road.

Budget of 35 crores released, which schemes are part of this highway?
The benefit of this forelane highway will not be available only to the passengers of Lucknow and Etawah, but the citizens of Kanpur will also benefit from it. About 14 km of this highway will pass through Kanpur district, which will provide direct connectivity to the people there.
The government has released a budget of Rs 35 crore for this project. The project is part of a total schemes worth Rs 5 thousand crore. Earlier this route was known as a link road, but now it has been approved to make a fourlane by declaring it a national highway.
What will be the effect on traffic?
The construction of this highway will reduce traffic load on GT Road. Currently, heavy vehicles going from Lucknow to Etawah reach Mohan, Bangarmau, Rasulabad, Nanmau via Bilhaur and then Etawah. With the construction of a new road, the pressure on all these routes will reduce and the traffic system will be improved.
