Amid the United States and Israel’s joint attack on Iran, the United Arab Emirates and several other Gulf nations have shut down their airspace.
Several Indians are among those , and other parts of the UAE. Actress Esha Gupta, known for Jannat 2, Raaz 3, Rustom, and more, is also stranded. On Sunday, she took to social media to address concerned fans and well-wishers. She apologised for not responding earlier and confirmed that she is safe. Calling the situation scary and difficult, Esha said she trusts authorities are doing their best to manage the situation and protect civilians.

Taking to her IG Story, she wrote, “To everyone checking in and messaging, I’m sorry for not replying. We are ok, we are safe! Times are scary, very tough. God is there to protect us. We trust the @modvae is doing the best in protecting and interception.”
She added, “Praying for everyone affected, all those stranded and safety for all above all. Hope to be home soon.”

Actress Sonal Chauhan and badminton star PV Sindhu are among the other Indian celebrities stuck in the UAE amid the strikes.
On Saturday, the Jannat actress , saying she was stranded in Dubai amid the ongoing crisis, with flights cancelled and no clear way to return to India. She sought the government’s guidance and support to help her travel back home safely.
Iran’s Strike On Gulf Countries
In response to American and Israeli attacks on Iranian territory on February 28, Iran carried out strikes on several US allies in the Middle East, including the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
Reports claim key locations such as Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Dubai International Airport, parts of Abu Dhabi, and US military bases in Qatar and Kuwait were targeted. Casualties, loud noises, and missile sightings have been reported in several areas.
The UAE Ministry has urged people to immediately move to the nearest secure building or shelter and stay away from windows, doors, and open spaces that may be vulnerable to debris or blast impact. Authorities have also advised the public to remain calm, cooperate fully, and rely only on official government channels for further updates.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi issued an advisory for citizens stranded in the region. They stated that the Embassy and Consulate are in touch with UAE authorities and airlines to assist Indian passengers affected by the temporary and precautionary closure of airspace.
