Erling Haaland has been one of the most phenomenal strikers in recent times, breaking many goal-scoring feats across multiple competitions.
Haaland joined in 2022 and went to on to win a historic treble under Pep Guardiola in his maiden season itself. Since then, many top clubs have been linked to Erling Haaland but the Norwegian striker seemed to put an end to all the speculations by signing a very long contract extension with City. However, a recent interview of Haaland’s agent Rafaela Pimenta included some talks about Haaland being linked to top clubs across Europe and her replies has left many thinking that Haaland’s near future might not actually be what everyone predicts it to be. Even after acquiring the services of Kylian Mbappe at the start of the current season, has always been linked to Erling Haaland. And Pimenta recently clarified that even though all of this was just outside noise, it does not concretely rule out the possibility of Haaland making a switch in the near future.

Speaking about the same, Pimenta said, ‘Do you think Erling will ever cut himself, even having this long-term contract with City, from rumors about Real Madrid? It’s always Haaland and Real Madrid in the media.’ She was also asked about the presence of a release clause in Haaland’s contract to which she replied by saying, ‘Release clause? I never comment on contracts. Erling has all the freedom because I think when you do what you want, you know what you’re doing, you have a proper deal… you have freedom.’

While there has not been any recent talks related to Erling Haaland looking to switch allegiances especially after penning down such a long-term deal, the possible departure of Pep Guardiola in a few seasons from the club could lead Haaland to explore such an option in the near future.
