If you are an EPFO subscriber, it is very easy to check your balance or track the status of your application. You can do this in several ways. For example, you can get information about your balance on the web, through Umang app or through SMS. The process of obtaining information in all three ways is different. Let us know it step-by-step.
How to check on website
For this, first of all you go to the official EPFO India website. Go to the Services section on the leftmost corner of the blue ribbon at the top. From the drop-down menu, select For Employees as shown in the image below. After this, under the Services section, click on Know Your Claim Status. A new window will open, in which you will have to enter your UAN, password and captcha. After submitting these details, you can log in to your account. After logging in, you will be able to see your claim status on your dashboard.

- You can also calculate the status of your claim on Umang App. You can also check balance.
- First of all, download Umang app on your smartphone and log in with your registered mobile number.
- After that search EPFO and go to Employee Centric Services.
- Go to Track Claim option from the list.
- Enter your UAN (Universal Account Number) and click on Get OTP.
- As soon as you enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number, you can click on login. By doing this you will be able to see all the details.
Text message for PF balance
Members can also check their balance and latest PF contribution in EPFO by sending text message to mobile number 77382 99899. The special thing is that it should be sent only from the mobile number registered with UAN. In the message you have to write EPFOHO UAN and send it to 77382 99899. You will get the complete details of your account within a few seconds of sending. The special thing is that this facility is available not only in English and Hindi, but also in other regional languages like Gujarati, Punjabi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Bengali.
