Hot air balloon ride will start in Delhi
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has selected an agency for the project to promote eco-tourism, entertainment activities and unique aerial scenes of the national capital and natural scenes. Dilli’s Yamuna Sports Complex, Commonwealth Games Sports Complex and Asita and Bansera will be available on the Yamuna coast. This work has been assigned for 3 years, which can be extended to a maximum of 9 years. For the operation of hot air balloon, the agency will be provided 3600 square meters of space at each site. Work will be started by the agency in 2 months.
A four -hour flight will be allowed daily. However, DDA can also increase this period as per the need. The private company will operate the balloon ride on the revenue sharing model and the value will be determined by the approval of the DDA. To keep transparency and proper records, the income received from tickets will be deposited in the DDA account.

The DDA has worked extensively to improve the Yamuna River and Ghats and several projects are being developed on its coast, including asita. Which was once the encroached land i.e. that land was illegally occupied, now it has been converted to green places there. Apart from this, the DDA has developed the Bansera Bamboo Park at Sarai Kale Khan, which was earlier C & D West Dumping Site. It has now been converted into a bamboo-themed park with more than 30,000 bamboo, three reservoirs and a musical fountain. Which looks very beautiful.
Along with this, the Yamuna Sports Complex of Surajmal Vihar is also the largest sports complex developed by DDA. The Commonwealth Games Sports Complex was developed for the Commonwealth Games, which were held in the national capital in 2010.
