In the Nuh district of Haryana, authorities have ramped up security ahead of the Brajmandal Water Abhishek Yatra scheduled for August 3. An official disclosed this information on Friday, stating that over 800 security personnel, including special forces, have been deployed to ensure a peaceful event.
The official further mentioned that all government and private schools in Nuh district will remain closed on August 3. To facilitate a safe and organized event, a joint meeting was held on Thursday, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Akhil Pilani and Superintendent of Police Arpit Jain. This meeting included district administration officials, police representatives, event organizers, and members of various social and religious organizations.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner outlined that the yatra will commence around noon from the Nahlad Shiv Temple, proceeding through Badkali Chowk, Firozpur Jhirka, and returning to Badkali Chowk before reaching Singar village and Punhana. He instructed the Public Works Department, the Public Health Engineering Department, municipal councils, and block development officials to ensure timely arrangements for road repairs, cleanliness, drinking water, mobile toilets, parking, and other essential services along the route.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that to maintain law and order, there will be a complete ban on the open sale of petrol and diesel, unauthorized DJ music, inflammatory speeches or songs, the use of open microphones, and carrying any firearms or sharp weapons.
To ensure the safety of devotees and students, schools will be closed on August 3, and liquor and meat shops along the yatra route will also be shut down.
Superintendent of Police Arpit Jain stated that seven companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed alongside Haryana police personnel for the yatra’s security. He noted that the approximately 80-kilometer route will be monitored 24/7 using drones, video cameras, and other advanced technologies. More than 100 police officers and private videographers will be stationed along the route to record every activity during the yatra.
Jain added, “We are also closely monitoring social media. Action is being taken against those spreading misleading or inflammatory content. Several suspicious social media accounts have been shut down, and letters have been sent to police officials in relevant districts for necessary action.”
It is important to note that during the Brajmandal Water Abhishek Yatra in 2023, violent clashes between two groups resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals, with 15 others, including police personnel, injured.
