English Premier League | We’re bitterly disappointed: Utd boss Carrick

crashed to a humiliating 0-2 defeat against newly-promoted Hull on Saturday in a dismal start to their English Premier League campaign.

Michael Carrick’s side were rocked by first half goals from Semi Ajayi (17th min) and Nobel Mendy (38th min) at the MKM Stadium.

Hull, who are back in the  for the first time since 2017, were without 10 players due to injury but still put a woeful Red Devils team to the sword with a vibrant display.

“We’re bitterly disappointed [with the result]. We had a few [good] moments, but overall we lacked that spark. We won’t let it knock us down, but we can’t ignore the result either. We will try to learn from it. One game doesn’t change the whole direction of everything,” said Carrick.
