The Ashes series is still in its midst. Before this, 3 Tests have been played, by winning which Australia has retained its hold on the series. But, meanwhile, England players have been accused of being under the influence of alcohol. The matter is related to his trip to Noosa, after several reports regarding which the England Cricket Board has now ordered an investigation. England team director Rob Key has been given the responsibility for this.
English team drank alcohol for 6 days – report
Reports related to the English team said that after losing the second test at Gabba, the England team drank alcohol for 6 consecutive days. During that time, it spent 4 days at a small seedy place named Noosa and was seen partying there. The England team’s trip to Noosa is now under question, regarding which English team director Rob Key has assured an investigation.
Rob Key defended the players
Rob Key said that hopefully the players would have stayed within their limits. He might not have gone to Noosa. But if it is being said that our players went out and drank too much alcohol, then they will definitely be investigated. He said that it is not right for the players involved in the international cricket team to drink alcohol excessively. In such a situation, if the matter is not investigated then it would be wrong.
The director of the England team further said that I have read whatever has been written in the last one or two days. If it is found as written then it will be unbearable. He said that I do not drink alcohol but I feel that the culture of drinking does not help anyone. If players consume a glass of alcohol while having dinner at night, then it is fine. But, drinking more than that is useless.
