Uttarkashi rescue operation: Dharli, Sukki and Harshil, situated in the lap of the mountains, are facing deep wounds of disaster these days. Due to cloudburst and debris, the ease of ruin is such that the rescue operation has not stopped on the fourth day. So far, more than 650 people have been evacuated, but still 100 to 150 people are stranded in the affected areas. Debris has spread from 20 to 50 feet height in about 80 acres of Dharali, which has made relief work very challenging.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is present on the spot and monitoring relief and rescue operations. On Friday, he met the rescue people, assuring his well being and assured all possible help.

Emotional view on Rakshabandhan
During the inspection, a moment came out which made everyone’s eyes moist. A woman from Gujarat, who was recently evacuated from the disaster sector, became emotional after seeing CM Dhami. He tore a piece of his dupatta and tied it on the wrist of CM Dhami like a rakhi. He bowed his feet touching his legs with gratitude and relief in his eyes, but CM stopped him like an elder sister. The woman said that she will always be grateful to the Chief Minister for saving her life.

CM Dhami assured the disaster victims that the government would give priority to their rehabilitation and needs. He instructed the relief teams not to delay in providing help to any affected person. This disaster of Uttarkashi has brought pain and crisis in the lives of people, while this incident on Rakshabandhan has become a living example of humanity, brotherhood and duty.
