Divyanka Tripathi recently became embroiled in controversy after her appearance on Laughter Chefs 2. A light-hearted moment on the set took an unexpected turn when the TV actress was unable to recognise YouTuber Elvish Yadav , one of the contestants on the show.
Since then, she has been facing backlash from fans of BB OTT 2 winner. Amid this trolling, Elvish came forward to defend the actress and also praised her work. He urged fans to stop the trolling and spread positivity instead.

Elvish took to his X handle on Tuesday and wrote, “Guys,I don’t use social media much & I’m confused about why people are trolling Divyanka.But guys, she’s super chill & deserves respect! My request: please stop trolling her. Let’s spread kindness instead.”
It all started when Divyanka appeared on Laughter Chefs 2 and greeted Elvish with ‘Hi Samarth,’ which left Aly Goni, Krushna Abhishek, and the others bursting into laughter. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame was quick to realise her mistake and apologised on the spot. She also joked that the moment should be edited out to avoid the trolling of Elvish’s loyal fans. Elvish didn’t take it personally, but his fans criticised her for it on social media.
After this incident, Divyanka addressed the backlash and shared a message on her Instagram. Her post read, “I want to thank genuine Elvish fans for being nice. True fans, first keep their idol’s respect in mind. Double thanks to the trollers for increasing my engagement. My inner systumm automatically bounces back your foul language to you and your family. Karma! Those being nice shall always be blessed… says my core divinity!”
In the show, Divyanka was initially paired up with Nia Sharma and Sudesh Lehri for the first cooking challenge. Later, she joined with Rubina Dilaik and Rahul in the second round. Besides her, the latest episode also featured Eisha Singh, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Shraddha Arya, and others.
