New Delhi: Elon Musk is once again trending online after showing off a new AI feature that can turn any photo into a short video. On Sunday, the Tesla and X owner posted on X, saying, “Long-press on any image to turn it into a video! Then customise the prompt to create whatever you can imagine.” He even shared his own funny example, writing, “add a boyfriend and they transition into muppets.”
The post included a short clip made using Grok, the AI chatbot built into X. The video showed how the tool can bring still pictures to life and follow creative text prompts easily. Soon after Musk’s post, people started trying it out themselves, sharing different versions of photo-to-video clips across the platform. The feature seems to be part of Grok’s growing set of creative tools, which already includes writing help, image generation, and access to real-time X data.

Recently, Musk’s AI company, xAI, announced that Grok 4 is now free for users around the world. It can be used directly on X or downloaded as a separate app for iOS and Android. However, the free version has a few limits. Users can only make a certain number of prompts or queries each day. It’s good for casual use, but those who want faster replies, longer chats, or more advanced tools still need a paid plan.
There are three main subscription levels for Grok
Free Tier: Basic access with limited daily usage. Best for users who just want to explore what Grok can do.
Super Grok: It is a paid version that unlocks faster responses, higher limits, and more creative tools. It costs you around Rs 700 per month in India on the iOS app.
Super Grok Heavy: As it sounds, it’s a premium plan for professionals, developers, or companies, aimed to offer the highest usage and performance at a cost of about Rs 29,900 per month in India on iOS.
Prices may change depending on region and platform, and subscriptions on mobile devices might be slightly more expensive than on desktop.
