Elnaaz Norouzi calls Ali Khamenei’s death ‘unbelievable news’, says ‘God is great’

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Elnaaz Norouzi took to social media to comment on the US-Israeli strike on Iran. She called the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, ‘unbelievable news’. 

Taking to Instagram stories, the actress wrote, “The most unbelievable news for us. The news we have been waiting for for 47 years. Khamenei is dead. God is Great.” The Sacred Games actor also raised concerns for the innocent civilians impacted due to the crossfire. 

Elnaaz was born in Iran. She later moved to Germany and built her career in India. She told her followers that her thoughts were with the families and children who are forced to live in fear. She urged the public to respond with empathy and compassion during the distressing period.

Sharing a video on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Praying for all innocent civilians and hoping the strikes are going to be precise and targeted only at the terrorist Free Iran Javid Shah.” In her statement, she stated that the ordinary citizens of Iran should not suffer for those in power. She added that Iranians, over the years, have showcased their opposition against the regime.

“If anybody dies in this war, if any civilians die in this war — not the regime — it is solely the Islamic Republic’s fault,” said the actor.

She also talked about the emotions and feelings of those who have ties with Iran. Amid escalating tensions, she emphasised the importance of prioritising human life.
