Ellyse Perry created history and etched her name in record books by achieving a milestone that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli never achieved in their careers.
Perry, who is part of Australia’s squad in the ongoing 2026 T20 World Cup, has become the first-ever player to play 50 WC matches. The star all-rounder has featured in every edition of the T20 WC since the tournament’s inception in 2009. Perry has scored 559 runs in 50 matches. She has also scalped 42 wickets. She has been one of the best performers in T20 WC history and played a key role in Australia’s title wins.
She is followed by Suzie Bates, who has played 43 matches. Bates has 1235 runs and 11 wickets. Alyssa Healy, who played 42 matches before her retirement, sits in the third position. She scored 1008 runs.
Harmanpreet Kaur (41) and Sophie Devine (40) follow her in the elite list, respectively. Harmanpreet will be playing her 42nd game when India take the field against South Africa on Sunday (June 21).

Rohit, who played every T20 WC from 2007 to 2024, tops the list of players to play the most men’s T20 World Cup matches. He played 47 matches.
played 35 T20 WC matches and sits in the seventh position. The former Indian captain made his T20 WC debut in the fourth edition of the tournament in 2012. He captained the Men in Blue in the 2021 T20 WC. Both Indian legends are now only active in ODI cricket.
Jos Buttler, who has 43 T20 WC matches, sits in the second position along with Shakib al Hasan. He is followed by David Warner (41), Adil Rashid (38) and Mahmudullah (37), respectively.
