Eid-ul-Fitr History: Eid ul-Fitr is a very sacred festival of Islam religion. It is also called Eid or Meethi Eid. This festival is being celebrated today in India. Prophet Hazrat Muhammad started
Eid ul-Fitr was started by Prophet Hazrat Muhammad. He started this festival in Medina in 624 AD. According to the beliefs of Islam, this was the second year after Hijrat, when Muslims completed the first Ramadan. When Prophet Hazrat Muhammad reached Medina, his eyes fell on the people celebrating. He saw that people celebrated for two days. After this he told that there will be two Eids. Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha.
What is done on Eid?
On Eid, Namaz is offered in a mosque or Idgah. On this day, Namaz is offered only after being clean and wearing good clothes. People who follow the religion of Islam hug their family, friends and relatives and say Eid Mubarak. On this day maximum prayers and prayers are offered to Allah. Vermicelli and various other dishes are prepared and served in homes.
