Education Ministry to host Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 on February 12–13

New Delhi: The Ministry of Education is set to organise the Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026 on February 12 and 13 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The conclave is being held as a pre-event to the India AI Impact Summit and aims to strengthen the use of artificial intelligence in India’s education system.

To support this initiative, the Ministry had earlier set up a Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education at IIT Madras known as the IIT Madras Bodhan AI Foundation which will play a leading role in shaping discussions and activities during the conclave.

Focus on responsible, inclusive AI in education

According to IIT Madras, the Centre of Excellence has a national mandate to develop AI solutions that are responsible, scalable, and India-first. These solutions will be aligned with national education policies and digital public infrastructure, ensuring that AI tools are accessible across different regions, languages, and socio-economic groups.

The official post on X reads, ‘The Bharat Bodhan AI Conclave 2026, scheduled for 12–13 February 2026, is a national platform for strategic partnership-building in AI-enabled education, focused on mapping key actors, innovations, opportunities, readiness, and scalability across the education ecosystem.’

Priority areas, opportunities for participants

The last date for submitting Letters of Interest for participation was January 29, 2026. Entries were invited under four priority areas which include AI for School Education, AI for Higher Education, AI for Skilling and Workforce Readiness, and AI Research and Deep Technology.
