Afganistan Earthquake: Earthquake tragedy continues in Afghanistan. A 5.5 magnitude earthquake was felt in the south-eastern part on Tuesday after a 6.0-magnitude earthquake that occurred on Sunday night. So far 1,411 people have lost their lives due to this shaking.

Confirming the incident, Jabhullah Mujahid, spokesperson of the Taliban government, said that many villages were badly destroyed by the 6.0 magnitude earthquake in the mountainous regions of East Afghanistan late on Sunday night. After the earthquake, many people were trapped in the rubble and relief and search operations are being carried out to save the survivors.
India sent 1,000 tents to Kabul
Officials have demanded help from all over the world. The Taliban government has sought help from all over the world. After this, India has sent 1,000 tents to Kabul and has taken 15 tons of food from Kabul to Kunar area. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar told the social media platform x that India will continue to send relief materials for the needy. Let us know that after the Taliban came to power in 2021, international institutions stopped human help in Afghanistan. The United Nations has also expressed condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake. On X, he wrote that our teams are already engaged in relief and rescue work.

Apart from India, countries like China and Britain also sent relief
Apart from India, countries like China and Britain have also sent relief after Afghanistan’s appeal to help. Britain has announced an emergency fund of 1 million pounds i.e. about Rs 10 crore to help the earthquake -affected families. At the same time, China has said that it will help according to the need and its ability of Afghanistan.
