Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday launched the ambitious campaign ‘Mission Shakti-5.0’ dedicated to the safety, honor and self-reliance of women from Lok Bhavan Auditorium. He said that before 2017, the condition of daughters in the state was not safe, but today she is making her own way. Her clear message was that women’s honor is her first priority of her government.
Mission Shakti 5.0 new direction to women safety and self -reliance
In the program, CM Yogi inaugurated the newly established Mission Shakti Kendras in 1,647 police stations of the state. On this occasion, “strong women, prosperous territories” folders and SOP booklets were also released. Yogi said that mission power has become a strong identity of women empowerment today.

Now more than 44 thousand women are serving in UP police
The Chief Minister informed that from independence to 2017 there were only 10 thousand women in the police, but today more than 44 thousand women policemen are serving services. The participation of 20 percent of women is being ensured in each recruitment. More than 12 thousand women have participated in the recent 60,200 recruitment.
Education and participation of women in government jobs
CM Yogi said that the contribution of women in the education sector is also increasing rapidly. He remembered that earlier girls were not available for shoes or uniforms, but today every child is given two uniforms, shoes, bags, sweaters and books. Apart from this, the Kanya Sumangala Yojana and the mass marriage scheme have also changed the lives of millions of daughters.
Yogi government adopting women focused attitude in every scheme
Yogi said that the Center’s Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Matri Vandana Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, and Swachh Bharat Mission have made the lives of women easier. The name of more than 1 crore women has been recorded in the rural land records in UP.
From self -employment to nutrition mission, women are becoming self -sufficient
CM Yogi informed that 40,000 women are doing crores of transactions under the banking correspondence Sakhi scheme. At the same time, 60,000 women are getting employment from the nutritional mission.
Fear of law among criminals, now apologizing themselves
Regarding women safety, the CM said that 12,271 criminals have been punished in 9,513 cases since 2024. Referring to an incident in Bareilly, he said that now the criminals themselves apologize that they have come to UP by mistake.
Mission power will run till Navratri, awareness will be special campaign
CM Yogi said that under Mission Shakti, the helpline related to women safety is being further strengthened. Special security arrangements will be made on the bike rally and Navratri on 21 September. Awareness programs will also be run in schools and colleges. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak and women welfare minister Babirani Maurya and several senior officials were present on the occasion.
