Since the festival is celebrated according to the Uday Tithi, the festival of Dussehra will be celebrated on 2 October 2025.
Vijay Muhurta (auspicious time)
Vijay Muhurta has special significance on the day of Dussehra. According to the almanac, on October 2, Vijay Muhurta will be from 2.58 pm to 3.46 minutes.
Dussehra worship method
First of all, clean the house thoroughly and take a bath and wear clean clothes, then place a clean post in place of worship and put red or yellow clothes on it. Install the idol or picture of Lord Ram, Mother Sita, Hanuman ji and Maa Durga at the outpost. If you established the urn during Navratri, use that urn. If not, install a new urn and add water, Ganga water, betel nut and coin to it.
First of all, meditate on Ganpati ji and pray to him to make Pooja a success. After this, apply kumkum, rice and sandalwood tilak to all the gods. Offer flowers and garlands. Arms worship has special significance on the day of Dussehra. Clean all your weapons, vehicles, tools and equipment. Apply kumkum, turmeric and rice tilak on them.
