With Durga Puja just around the corner, Indian Railways and many other airlines are increasing their capacity. The main aim here is to ensure convenient travel for passengers.
This will also help get rid of congestion on major routes, especially for travel to Kolkata during the Durga Puja rush.
Indian Railways Introduces Special Trains
The Indian Railways has announced 20 extra services of the Hadapsar-Danapur-Hadapsar Puja Special train. Additionally, there will also be a couple of other special traits. Below is a list, with the schedule.
03214 Hadapsar-Danapur Weekly Special
- Depart Hadapsar at 6:45 am and arrive at Danapur at 7:45 pm the next day.
- Scheduled for Mondays from September 29 to December 1, 2025.
03213 Danapur-Hadapsar Weekly Special
- Depart Danapur at 9 pm and arrive Hadapsar at 4:15 am the day after next.
- Scheduled for Saturdays from September 26 to November 29, 2025.
03380 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Dhanbad Weekly Special
- Extended with nine services from October 9 to December 4, 2025.
- Scheduled for Thursdays
03379 Dhanbad-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Weekly Special
- Extended with nine services from October 7 to December 2, 2025.
- Scheduled for Tuesdays
05558 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Raxaul Weekly Special
- Extended with 10 services from September 25 to November 27, 2025.
- Scheduled for Thursdays

Special Flights For Durga Puja
A report on Mint suggests that IndiGo airlines has added up to 23 extra flights from various destinations to Kolkata. The airline is start deploying higher-capacity aircraft to ensure sufficient seats.
