New Delhi: Ducati has teased a new special version of its high-performance superbike called the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario Edition. The Italian brand shared a short preview video confirming that the motorcycle will make its global debut during the Ducati World Premiere 2026 event on March 26, 2026. The teaser gives a small glimpse of the upcoming model but keeps most of the details hidden for now.
The short clip mainly focuses on a close-up of the bike’s black anodised top clamp where the words “SUPERLEGGERA V4 CENTENARIO” are being laser-engraved. The name reflects the company’s 100-year milestone, as Ducati was founded in 1926 and is celebrating its centenary this year. While the company has not shared full specifications yet, the Centenario edition is expected to highlight Ducati’s engineering and racing heritage.

The upcoming bike is expected to build on the performance of machines like the Ducati Panigale V4 R. Ducati could bring more components inspired by its Superbike World Championship racing programme to the road-legal model. Ducati’s earlier Ducati Superleggera V4 (2020) already set a high benchmark. That motorcycle used a 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine producing 221 bhp and 119 Nm of torque. It also came with a six-speed gearbox paired with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Limited production and premium positioning
The Centenario edition is also expected to be produced in small numbers, similar to earlier Superleggera models. Ducati had limited the Ducati Superleggera V4 (2020) to 500 units worldwide. The upcoming anniversary version could follow a similar approach, making it a rare motorcycle aimed mainly at collectors and serious enthusiasts.
Ducati is also expected to focus heavily on weight reduction and aerodynamics. Extensive use of carbon fibre, improved hardware, and further refinement of power delivery could be part of the package, although official confirmation will only come during the launch event.
In the superbike segment, the Superleggera range represents the very top of Ducati’s lineup. Bikes in this category compete with machines like the Kawasaki Ninja H2R and the Aprilia RSV4 Factory, which also showcase the most advanced technology from their respective manufacturers. The full details of the new model will be revealed later this month.
