Dry Day in August

This time in August, three days dry day is going to be. The first dry day will be on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August. The next day i.e. on August 16, there will be dry day in most states of North India including Delhi-NCR. At the same time, the third dry day in August will be on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 27 August.

Alcohol will not be found here on dry day

All liquor retail shops are closed on dry day. Along with this, alcohol and beer are not served in restaurants and pubs. If a shopkeeper or restaurant and pub owner is caught selling liquor, then action is taken against the Excise Department according to the rules of the Department.

Dry Day will be here in September and October

According to the Excise Department of the Delhi Government, all liquor shops, bars and clubs will remain closed on 15 August (Independence Day) and 2 October (Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti). On September 6 in Maharashtra, the sale of liquor will be banned on the day of Ganpati Visarjan (Anant Chaturdashi). Apart from this, there is a possibility that Dry Day should be declared on 5 September (one day before immersion). This ban is imposed to maintain law and order during procession and crowd.

In Bengaluru, on August 15 (Independence Day) and 16 August (Janmashtami), liquor sale will be banned for 48 hours, which will apply to all bar, restaurants and licensed liquor vendors. After reviewing the situation, 27 August (Ganesh Chaturthi) can also be declared dry day.
