Drugs case worth Rs 252 crore: Ori seeks extension from court, claims relationship with Dawood’s nephew

Mumbai Police summons popular social media influencer Orhaan Avatramani alias Ori in the Rs 252 crore MD drugs case. However, Ori himself has sought extension in this matter. He says that he will be able to appear before the police for questioning only after November 25. On behalf of Ori, his lawyer has sent a letter to the police and said that he is not available at the moment. In the reports, quoting a police officer, it has been written that Ori’s appeal has been accepted. He says that at present no second summons will be sent to him.

What is the whole matter of MD drugs worth Rs 252 crore?

This matter is of 2024. In fact, in May last year, Mumbai Police had seized Mephedrone (MD) drugs worth Rs 252 crore. A man named Salim Shaikh was arrested as the main accused in this case, who allegedly used to host rave parties for celebrities. It is said that everyone from politicians to Bollywood stars attended his party. It is being told that Salim Shaikh has taken the name of Ori during the interrogation and has made serious allegations against him.

Ori claims connection with Dawood Ibrahim’s family member

In the reports, quoting sources, it has been written that Salim Shaikh has claimed in his statement that Ori is from Alishah Parkar, nephew of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Sheikh has just claimed that Ori not only takes drugs but also attends drug parties.

Ori had to appear before the anti-narcotics team

The Anti Narcotics Unit of Mumbai Police had summoned Ori and he was asked to appear today (November 20). However, Ori has been given time till after November 25 to present his views. According to reports, the police have revealed that members of the drugs network used encrypted or private platforms like Jangi, Signal, Instagram and FaceTime for communication between buyers and sellers. It is being said that summons can also be sent to many Bollywood celebs and people associated with politics in this matter.
