Jr NTR’s Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, is reportedly being planned as a two-part action saga. Both parts are expected to be shot together rather than treating the second instalment as a separate project. This approach could help maintain continuity between the films.
Reports suggest that the combined footage could run to around five to six hours. This is one of the reasons the shooting process may take longer.
The film features Jr NTR in the lead, alongside Rukmini Vasanth, Anil Kapoor and Biju Menon. The technical team includes music composer Ravi Basrur and cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda. Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts are backing the project.
The makers are expected to decide the release plans based on the production progress. If Part 1 performs well, Part 2 could benefit from its success.
However, if the first part fails, there may be little scope to make changes to the second instalment as its shooting and post production will be already complete.
The film will take the time it needs to finish production. Once filming and post-production are complete, the makers can plan the releases accordingly.
Part 1 is currently scheduled for June 11, 2027. The release date for Part 2 has not been officially confirmed.
